Meeting the Needs of the Business Community

The Lower Shore Workforce Alliance works with businesses to provide a skilled workforce that will support their needs.  In addition to the traditional training programs available to individuals looking for a job and a career, the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance offers On-The-Job (OJT) programs, Apprenticeship programs, and specialized training programs through its vendors.  The Program Development Liaison meets with businesses to discuss their needs and works to find solutions.

The Lower Shore Workforce Alliance is guided by the Workforce Development Board (WDB).   The WDB is comprised of individuals representing the public and private sectors of Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset Counties.  The majority of the board is composed of members from the business community providing input and recommendations to guiding the agencies work.
